The Process
The process of engaging in art therapy is a client led, multi-modality process where a client discusses goals or current issues being experienced, and not necessarily fully defined or verbalised. The therapist will ask the client to represent or draw what this “looks” like or feels like with the mediums available and will then help navigate the “image” and assist to process the elements – shapes, colours, lines and intensity while developing the narrative and visual language for a client.
Art therapy is not a lesson in art, but an opportunity to explore, but not limited to, with:

• Water-colour, acrylic and oil painting
